Behind: The “Eat My Words” Design

When we released ‘Love Lives in Luxury’ last July we simultaneous dropped our ‘Eat My Words’ tee which also sold out. I personally feel that anyone who has achieved successful, at one point in their lives had people telling that they couldn’t do something incredible and that they were dreaming. Some people let doubters/haters to discourage them while others use it as fuel and inspiration to excel and ultimately reach their dreams. That’s the idea behind this shirt: This tee started out with just the background which reads ‘DEMEANOR NYC LA DC’ which are all places that we’ll eventually have our DM stores.

Next we were very cautious about including a skull in the design, while we wanted that ‘I don’t care’ imagery we are also very aware that skulls on clothing was a bit played out so we kept the skull design as abstract as possible.

Finally the thing that made this tee great and a fan favorite is the ‘Eat My Words’ in a degraded and distressed bold font. We debated about what slogan to put on this tee for a while before one of the DM fam suggested “Eat My Words” and it stuck. Once you succeed when people told you that you couldn't, it's perfectly ok to tell the world “Eat My Words” because as you enjoy in success they’ll always remember when you shared your dream and they couldn’t believe it and they’ll have to live with that for the rest of their lives!

Pixar 25 Year Anniversary

Pixar celebrates its 25th birthday this year. The animation studio began as the computer graphics division of Lucasfilm in the late '70s and spun off to become an independent company in 1986. Since then it has produced 20 short films and 12 features, including the first entirely computer animated theatrical release, Toy Story in 1995.

It's hard to believe Pixar has been with us for so long. The Oscar-collecting studio has doubtlessly produced many of the films most fondly remembered by the latest generation to enter adulthood-- a group that's likely to be watching Pixar movies with kids of their own soon. Take a look back at some of the most memorable moments of Pixar's 25 years with the fan-made video above.

Music Mondays: Young Jeezy feat. Lil Wayne "Ballin'" X B.O.B "No Future"

Another Monday is upon us so here is some new music to get you through the week: Young Jeezy feat. Lil Wayne - "Ballin" (Prod. By Lex Luger) Looks like Jeezy might have a hit on his hands with this one, if he doesn't put this out he's obviously still living in that crazy world of his. On top of that this is only half of the song, Jeezy hasn't even added his verse yet. When you get in the car you have to turn this up, Lex Lugers drums are something serious! I believe his drums are setting him apart from everybody else. Could this possibly be for TM103? I hope so. "Cut The Music Up!"

B.O.B - "No Future" (Odd Future Diss)

I was wondering if B.O.B was going to respond to Tyler The Creators line in his song "Yonkers" (you can click here to see the full video) where he stated. "I'll crash that fu*king airplane that the faggot nigga B.O.B was in," I thought that was pretty funny lol. You can see the tweets below where Tyler seems to be backing out of potential conflict with B.O.B. while trying to explain his diss in the first place. B.O.B goes in on this track!

After watching the full trailer for the upcoming Captain America: The First Avenger film my skepticism is out the window. It actually seems like they really developed this story the correct way by spending time actually focusing on the early days of Steve Rogers who would become the super soldier known as Captain America. Pretty Dope!

Trump: Will Spend $600M For President Campaign

Billionaire business mogul Donald Trump is ready to shell out $600 million of his own cash to become President of the United States. He told ABC’s “Good Morning America” last week that his name recognition would probably save him “hundreds of millions of dollars” compared with other candidates. My favorite part is when Trump was asked if he had $600 million to spare, Trump's reply was: "Much more than that. That's one of the nice things. I mean, part of the beauty of me is that I'm very rich. So if I need $600 million, I could put up $600 million myself".

And in case you didn't know or conveniently forgot, Trump’s net worth is $2.7 billion, making him the 137th richest person in the U.S., according to Forbes magazine.

Music is an integral part of our lives and since the DM fam is always ahead of the curve on the latest and greatest tunes, we've decided to provide a weekly post of what we're listening to at the moment! Hopefully we can help you get through the long work week and maybe put you up on some new artists and music. So welcome to our Music Mondays!
Last week, the New Orleans-born, Los Angeles-based singer/songwriter Frank Ocean an Odd Future affiliate self-released his debut 'nostalgia,ULTRA'. In short this album is an amazing-left field-R&B experience. He tackles every topic from love, heartbreak and drugs, to questions of faith and comparisons to other artist without ever losing a creative step.

Behind: The 'Love Lives In Luxury' Design

So when my partners and I decided that we were going to start this clothing line we agreed on two very important things: quality over quantity and delivering a message through each product produced.
Love Lives in Luxury was our very first shirt and still my favorite! This design actually came together as organic as any design possibly could.
Love is an amazing feeling, when you're in love you want to give that person every luxury the world has to offer and there is nothing a woman desires more than a huge diamond! So this design actually began with the diamond above. Next came the young, beautiful, and stylish woman waiting to see what the world has to offer. The words "Love Lives in Luxury" derived from the feeling that love provides to those who share it, the comfort and security of being in love can't be found anywhere else. This shirt encompasses that feeling of just wanting to live the best life possible surrounded by love and luxury.This design went through a few variations before we decided that keeping our designs simple would give our shirts a more classic and timeless look/feel. This thought of design was the foundation of what we do today, simple is better!

This Red Tibetan Mastiffs is the most expensive dog in the world, it was sold to a Chinese businessman for approximately $1.6 million. The good news is that he can make his money back in a few years by breeding him. Big Splash is 11 months old, 3 ft. high and weighs over 180lbs.

R.I.P. Nate Dogg

Long before Akon or T-Pain there was the hook master Nate Dogg who I pretty much grew up on, so i was sad to hear the news this morning:

Nathaniel D. Hale, better known as Nate Dogg, passed away late Tuesday night at the age of 41. Press-Telegram reported the death of the Long beach rapper-singer, but did not specify the cause of death. It's been known that the G-Funk soul singer had been sick and suffered a strock back in 2007 and another one in 2008.

He will be missed!

There is nothing to help you get over a job rejection quite like your 8-month-old son laughing hysterically at you ripping the letter up.

"McArthur says he’s finishing up his doctorate at SLU and applying for professor jobs. When he received yet another rejection letter he ripped it in half and baby Micah started laughing uncontrollably, so he started ripping credit card statements and the sweet sounds of laughter continued."
