PICS: Images Of The Largest Hotel Suite In Abu Dhabi

At 22,600 square feet, the Royal Suite at the St. Regis Saadiyat Island Resort in Abu Dhabi is being billed as the largest hotel suite in the United Arab Emirates and comes with a private movie theater, game room, spa and sauna, and outdoor swimming pool.

Unveiled last week, the suite spans 22,600 square feet or 2,099 square meters and takes up the top two floors of the resort’s west wing at a price tag of $35,000 USD a night (130,000 AED). Guests are greeted with a Steinway grand piano in the living room, and sweeping views of the Arabian Gulf. Earth tones of beige, sand, teal and blue are used to decorate the suite and evoke the hotel’s sea and desert surroundings.
The dining room also seats 12, and meals can be catered through the hotel’s butler service.

After descending the elaborate winding staircase, guests arrive at the master bedroom which takes up the entire lower floor and includes an expansive walk-in closet, dressing area, spa, sauna, and ocean-facing bathroom with double shower and bathtub.

Meanwhile, the royal penthouse suite at the Hotel President Wilson in Geneva, Switzerland is also known as being one of the largest and most luxurious suites in the world with 12 bedrooms and 12 bathrooms, a fitness center, Steinway grand piano and private elevator. The private terrace alone clocks in at 1,680 square meters. The cost for one night’s stay? About $65,000.

She's A Warhol!

This design is easily my favorite Demeanor shirt to date!  It was inspired by the masterful work of the LEGEND Andy Warhol!  'She's a Warhol' combines Demeanor's modern, clean esthetic with the bright pop colors that Warhol was known to use.

Top 10 Hotel Openings of 2011

This year has seen a proliferation of funky new properties around the world, a gloomy economic outlook seemingly unable to hold back our desire for edgy style or luxury wherever we go. Here, a look at some of our favorite openings throughout the year.

February

W Hotels’ new flagship was one of the most talked-about debuts of the year, in the heart of London amid the cinemas of Leicester Square. The achingly cool 192-room property set a new standard for London’s design hotels, and came complete with a Jean-Georges Vongerichten restaurant.

March

The world’s tallest hotel, Ritz-Carlton proved earlier this year that despite the rise of Shanghai, Hong Kong hasn’t given up the ghost yet. This stunning property towers over the city, with an infinity pool overlooking the harbor and spa treatment rooms with floor-to-ceiling windows.

May

With 169 rooms described as “unmistakably Missoni,” this hotel was a reminder that we can’t get enough of fashion hotels. Impressively, every room in the property offers views across the Gulf, as does the 18th floor Luna restaurant.

Mandarin Oriental, Paris
June
Paris’s luxury hotels have always been desirable, and new entrants Mandarin Oriental and Shangri-La upped the competition a notch, arriving within half a year of each other. The 138-room Mandarin Oriental boasts one of the French capital’s most prestigious addresses, Rue du Faubourg Saint-Honore, as well as a Thierry Marx restaurant.

Trump Ocean Club, Panama July

With trademark ebullience, the Donald sailed into South America in July with its tallest building, the 284-meter Trump Ocean Club. It’s home to 47 suites, 37 elevators, a spa, marina, casino and an island with a private beach.

The New Hotel, Athens, Greece July
Brazilian design duo Humberto and Fernando Campana turned to Greek themes for this stylish art hotel, some light relief in what was otherwise a difficult year for Greece. Fairytale characters adorn the walls and furniture has been supplied by the brothers themselves
.

Public Chicago September
Legendary hotelier Ian Schrager turned his hand to a different style of property earlier this year, opening a budget hotel in the Windy City. Public combined sharp design with low cost and featured a Jean-Georges Vongerichten food concept.

Disney Aulani, Hawaii September
Disney’s first non-themepark hotel could mark the start of a wider expansion into the hospitality industry for the entertainment giant. Designed as an ‘alternative family vacation experience’, Aulani retains some of the family friendliness but also focuses on more adult features, such as a spa and decor which draws inspiration from its Hawaiian surroundings.

Andaz Shanghai, China October
The entry of Andaz into Asia marked a milestone for the brand, which has already won over travelers with its contemporary luxury style in Europe and Asia. The 307 high-tech Andaz Shanghai towers 28 stories over the city, a modern landmark in the traditional Xintiandi neighborhood.

PICS: Ferrari Subacraft Boat

Ferrari meets Amphibian

Me and my friends are pretty adventurous, from sking almost every year, jet skiing, 4 wheeling, scuba diving, snorkeling and some of us have even sky dived, and I know we would do this in an hearbeat.

Ferrai has hooked up with the dopest engineers in Wales to create the new Amphibian. This new watercraft makes getting to the dive site with ease and in style to a whole new level. Unlike a submarine it's not a pressurized, which means that those on board must wear scuba gear before heading below the surface. With no cranes needed to lower the craft below water and no boat needed to carry it out to sea, a Scubacraft is significantly more versatile and less expensive than similarly sized submarines. The going price for this bad boy is $166,000.00

Swizz Beatz & Aston Martin Presents the Aston Martin Rapide

I am very much aware that this is a car commercial but man, could the scene with Swizz be any flyer? Did you see that watch?! Incredible! The attention to detail in this 2 minute video is impeccable, it's looks like it's ready to be made into a full movie, and I can't wait to see the other parts that will follow. Oh, and the car is amazing!

Inside Ralph Lauren's Dream Garage

Vanity Fair gets an inside look at designer Ralph Lauren’s private garage / museum housing his incredible car collection in its new issue. Lauren recently renovated a former car dealership’s storage facility near his lavish Westchester, NY estate to house the amazing automotive assemblage, which contains examples of the world’s most valuable cars. Shown above is his Ferrari room, dominated by a rare 1958 Testa Rossa. The eye-popping collection of 60-plus vehicles, arranged like a high-end art gallery, are all kept registered and ready to drive anytime the designer feels like going for a spin.

The collection includes a 1936 Bugatti Type 57SC Atlantic worth an estimated $40 million alone – the world’s most expensive car – 1934 Bugatti Type 59 Grand Prix, a 1938 Alfa Romeo Mille Miglia roadster, the world’s only 1930 Mercedes-Benz SSK “Count Trossi” roadster, a 1957 Jaguar XKSS, a McLaren F1, a 1929 “Blower” Bentley, a Ferrari 250 GT, and the only Lamborghini Reventon Roadster in the U.S. – one of three Lamborghinis Lauren acquired this year. All of them have been maintained carefully since new, or restored to perfection – and “sometimes beyond perfection,” the magazine notes, as some have been painted in colors that the billionaire designer preferred to the original.

The Most Expensive Car In The World: Bugatti Type 57SC Atlantic (Ranging At $30 - $40 Million)

I'm sure Jean Bugatti never envisioned his luxury vehicles being the mark of success for a certain type of entertainer or even that his cars would be the most expensive in the world, but his highly sought after vehicles have acheived both feats.

"Motor Trend senior sditor Jonny Lieberman visits the Mullin Automotive Museum in Oxnard, California for a firsthand look at the world's most expensive car -- the 1936 Bugatti Type 57SC Atlantic. "

Jay-Z Gets A Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport From Beyonce

After Jay-Z dropped $4.2 million on a yacht for Beyonce on her 29th birthday, I was real curious to see how she was going compete with that when it was her turn. Well she did it by surprising the 41 year old Jay-Z with a $2.06 million Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport. For a couple who already has possibly everything under the sun, choosing gifts for each other has to be stressful. Which is maybe why she booked it a year in advance. Overall I think she did good with this one; it's not a yacht or anything but it is the fastest road legal vehicle in the world. By fastest I mean, this car can hit 0-60 in 2.5 seconds and go to top speeds of 255mph.
