Allen Iverson: ‘I’m formally announcing my retirement from basketball’
Allen Iverson officially announced his retirement from basketball Wednesday at a press conference in Philadelphia. Iverson went to 11 All-Star games during his career, won one MVP award, two All-Star Game MVPs, the league Rookie of The Year in 1996-97 after being selected first overall by the Sixers out of Georgetown University. Iverson was selected to three first team All-NBA teams, and three second team All-NBA teams.
Iverson changed the culture of basketball from the moment he stepped foot on the court at Georgetown University. And after 14 seasons in the NBA, he definitely changed the game the way no player ever has.
We remember Allen Iverson. Thank you for all the classic moments.

I've been waiting to see this movie since the trailer came out earlier this year. Looks Leonardo DiCaprio might take home an Oscar for this one or maybe I'm pushing it. Either way I'll be at the movies on Christmas Day to see this.

New Car Alert: 2014 Range Rover Long Wheelbase
I think I might of fell in love.
Land Rover debuts its first long wheelbase model in twenty years with a bigger and badder version of the Range Rover. The company has increased rear legroom by 140mm which allows passengers to recline their seats to 17 degrees creating an off-road capable first-class seat on four wheels. The car is also the first model to launch with their most premium trim line, Autobiography Black. The package adds chrome and black lacquer accents to the grill and other exterior elements, leather tables in the rear seats, new wheel options, and a number of interior upgrades including custom-configurable LED lighting throughout the cabin.

Beyonce ended her last show of the Mrs. Carter World Tour in New Zealand and after the show the mens Rugby team honored Beyonce with their Haka War Dance. The Haka dance is a traditional dance the Rugby teams does to intimidate their opponents and to also honor distinguished guest. Watch as Sash Fierce puts on her Haka face and joins in with guys.

Remember when the Titanic was sinking and the band was still playing? I know I do and I couldn't believe it, because if I was in the band I would of looked at the bandmaster like he was crazy and got on one of them boats. Yeah, I know it was women and children only, but if I was alone I would of snuck on one just like that one guy did.. The violin was found in the bandmasters hand at the bottom of the ocean and it also includes an engraved message from his fiance from when they got engage. The violin was auctioned for $1.45 million to Henry Aldriged of England.
I remember in the Kings of Comedy Steve Harvey said "The damn band was playing as the ship went down yall, Kool and The Gang would of been done unplugged everything." lol

Kanye finally took that big step and proposed to his girlfriend/baby momma Kim Kardashian. "Please Marry Meeee!, flashed across the scoreboard at the San Francisco's AT&T Baseball Stadium. Ye proposed to Kim with a 50 piece orchestra that played Lana Del Rey's Young and Beautiful and then his Keri Hilson featured track "Knock Me Down." Fireworks exploded when she said yes. Yes purchased a 15 carat diamond by Lorraine Schwartz. So many females are about to be pissed about this, get over it.

MUST SEE: 12 Years A Slave
I'm too young to know the impact that Roots had on blacks and America back when it was released but I have to imagine that it had the same heartbreaking and inspiring affect that '12 Years A Slave' had on me. I've seen Amistad, Glory and other films like it that capture and retell certain parts of the story of slavery but I've never seen any film as raw, honest and emotionally charged as '12 Years A Slave'.
I had the opportunity to see it this past weekend during its limited run in DC. The theater was packed 20 minutes before the movie started with just as many pale faces as dark. I actually ended up sitting next to a white couple and as the movie progressed I noticed the couple exhaling deeply or twisting in their seats just as myself and my fiance were as we witnessed some gut-wrenching and heartbreaking scenes that helped tell the true story of Solomon Northup. By the end of the movie sniffles could be heard throughout the theater as guys on dates tried to fight back their tears (more than likely unsuccessfully) and as some of the women weren't able to.
It's impossible not to leave that movie changed in some way, with the images (some very graphic and detailed) hanging over your head. I'm no movie critic but I will say that it is a film that everyone should see at least once, if not for the tale of struggle, hope, and perseverance than for the perfection of the film-making in-and-of itself.

New York City’s largest cruise ship, the Norwegian Breakaway, has been named the world’s best new cruise ship for features like The Waterfront — an open-air deck that allows for al fresco dining by the sea — and its Big Apple-themed concept.
According to the Cruise Critic, billed as the world’s largest site dedicated to cruise reviews, experts lauded the new liner for putting New York City on the high seas with paintings of the Statue of Liberty, NYC murals and even workout classes created by the world famous Rockettes.
In the luxury category, Regent Seven Seas Cruises took the top spot for its all-inclusive feature that includes free unlimited shore excursions, open bar concept and fine dining options.

Video: Kanye West Brings Out Jesus At Concert X Confederate/Kim Kardashian Inspired T-Shirts
This past weekend Kanye West kicked off his Yeezus tour in Seattle. Reports are saying that the show started at least two hours late. Some are saying that it wasn't a good show, but some where also saying that it was spectacular. During the show Ye bought out Jesus, that's right Jesus. The two shared a brief conversation before Jesus disappeared and Ye went into his classic track "Jesus Walks."
Kanye also promoted his Guns & Roses/Metallica inspired concert T-Shirts that incorporated the confederate flag. I can't wait to hear his explanation for this. I know some people will hate that he bought out Jesus and that he used the confederate flag in his shirts, but before I judge I'll wait to see what he has to say about it because it usually, sort of makes sense. One thing you have to do is give him credit, his stage production looks amazing, entertainment at its best.
