After revealing its 4-Series Coupe late last year before outfitting it with M performance parts as a teaser of sorts, BMW took to Pebble Beach to unveil the highly-anticipated M4 Concept. Meant as a replacement for the M3 Coupe, the M4 represents an evolution in M series design as it modifies a number of aesthetic cues sported by its precursor while incorporating some of the series’ most beloved accents: the hood’s power dome is now smaller and the carbon fiber roof now sports the BMW M tri-color while the likes of the 20″ alloy wheels, carbon-ceramic breaks, exhaust, and rear diffuser have all been lifted from previous vehicles. Although the car is certainly something to look at, BMW has yet to reveal what sits under the hood. Thus, both the engine and transmission setups remain completely unknown. Enjoy this first look at the exterior of the vehicle and stay tuned for a look at what powers the M4 under the hood.
