With all the events that we've done over the course of this year and all the pictures we've taken it's still very rare to see John, Clunie, and myself in the same place at the same time. So this was a rare moment, that caught us just laughing and having fun, the friendship that this brand was based on.
The experience really helped our brand grow while also introducing us to a world of new opportunities and people.
Serenity is our sister for real and biggest supporter hands down. Any and every event we’ve done she’s been present with her newest Demeanor gear on and a big grin!
We honestly never take advantage of the times JeeVan is home, we always plan on taking pictures or shooting videos but that never happens because we’re all usually drunk and then hung-over when JeeVan is home. But this is a good picture of him just mellowed out at one of our Friday Night Lights parties.
The homies B and Pat came out in full support for our first party of 2011 at Saki.
Our Happy Hour was one of our coolest events in my opinion. It was a chill environment where all of our friends and supporters had a chance to catch up with not only the brand but with each other, throw in some drinks and bomb Asian cuisine and you got yourself a good time!
We did an amazing photo shoot with our home girl Paris at the National Harbor just before she packed up and moved to Cali. This photo shoot was actually one of the cooler ones that we’ve done, we just laughed and joked through the whole day and results showed the carefree vibe that we were going for.
PATisDOPE is one of our constant collaborators and probably the funniest guy that you'll ever meet. Trust me you won’t be able to keep a straight face when you hear him on our mixtape dropping early 2012 but in the meantime check him out over at his blog.
Josh Howard is one of those people that when you meet him, you wouldn’t expect him to be as cool as he is. When we first met with him, he let us do an impromptu photo shoot in his crib and above is my favorite shot from that day.
We were invited to participate in a Young Black Entrepreneurs Workshop and speak to students at the LAYC in DC. It was a really cool and fun event. Students had the chance to play some guessing games about our brand as well as ask whatever questions were on their mind as we went through the brief history of our brand and shared our vision of where we're taking it! The students there were really cool and mature and they already had their plans of how they were going to take over the world!
We had the chance to work with the Flyboi Camp on their promo shoot for their project 'Flight Filez: The Briefing'. It was a great shoot, with our 'Everything Luxury' beleif and their 'Above the Clouds' music, this was a great marriage of concepts.
This is my favorite picture of 2011 because there are so many subtle elements that combine to make this picture perfect.
Tee, not to long after this picture was taken moved to Georgia to pursue her Grad degree in Art School but while she was home she put in a lot of work for us by capturing video from a few of our photo shoots and events. This was a great moment where Clunie was explaining what’s next up for our brand, it was kind of surreal when I was listening to him talk, just to think how far we’ve already come!
I love this photo, it's actually one of my favorites from all of Demeanor's albums. Because as we move into doing more lifestyle projects and accomplishing more goals it's easy to forget that everything we’ve had an opportunity to do thus far and everything that we’ve accomplished is based off of a few t-shirts that we had an idea for. It’s very humbling to know that every door opened and every opportunity received comes from a few t-shirts that we decided to design, and this picture is a great reminder of that!
