PICS: Mercedes-Benz G500 SWB 6.1 Widestar by Brabus

Mercedes-Benz may have phased out the G-Class SWB back in 2011, but that hasn’t stopped Brabusfrom introducing a brand new upgrade kit for the defunct three-door SUV. Making use of the G500 BA3 Final Edition, the customized G-Class bears the Brabus Widestar body kit and sits on 22″ nine-spoke Monoblock E alloy wheels as beautiful red and black leather coats the interior. Given the “6.1″ designation, the vehicle likely boasts a healthy increase in power over the 388 hp and 391 lb-ft of torque of the original 5.5 liter V8.

New Car Alert: Mercedes-Benz 2015 S-Class Coupe (Niceeee!)

Mercedes-Benz has debuted its upcoming 2015 S-Class Coupe. Looking much the same as the S-Class Coupe Concept from last year, the S-Class Coupe features a purposeful, flowing design that looks more aggressive than the outgoing CL-Class its set to replace. Spearheading the launch will be the S550 Coupe, which boasts a powerful V8 good for 449  horsepower and 516 lb-ft of torque. The interior comes almost directly from the S-Class sedan but features extras like metal trim and more rakish color options. No word on pricing yet but expect prices to start north of $100,000 USD. Geesh!

New Car Alert: Mercedes-Benz S600 Launched

The car is brimming with so much active safety technology that it can pretty much drive itself, but giving the S600 full autonomy would rob owners of its greatest feature — its 6-liter, bi-turbo V12 engine. And what an engine it is. Bigger and more powerful than the V12 that graced the outgoing model — 530 hp, 830 Nm of torque and a 0-62 mph (100kph) time of just 4.6 seconds — yet lighter and more fuel efficient. It will guarantee exactly the right levels of performance on tap at exactly the right time, whatever the prevailing road conditions.
But thanks to its Magic Body Control suspension the car shouldn’t roll in the corners or feel anything other than smooth for the rear-seat passengers.

Further ensuring a comfortable ride is something called Road Surface Scan that alters the car’s set-up to suit the driving surface — silky tarmac or cobblestones or concrete. The car has a host of systems, from Collision Prevention Assist Plus to Active Lane Keeping Assist that work together to keep the car safe from front and rear-end collisions, to help drivers avoid obstacles, and track the movement of other vehicles around the car.

In fact, it has so many active safety and driver assist features that it is just one or two regulatory changes away from being able to taking over the driving completely. It knows which lane it’s in, is aware of cars joining the road from slip lanes and can brake in such a way that it stops short of the vehicle in front but at just the right speed to make sure the car following also has enough time to stop too, without crashing. But that is the S-Class’s reason for being. It is not only Mercedes-Benz’s flagship car, each new imagining of the luxury executive sedan serves as the pinnacle of what is possible in terms of automotive technology at any given moment and gives consumers a taste of what they can expect to find in their cars in the near future. The Mercedes Benz S600 will be available to order in the US and Europe from March and can be specified with the standard or extended limousine wheelbase.

PICS: Mercedes Unleashes More Luxurious C-Class

Mercedes Benz unveiled Sunday a larger, much better-appointed version of its best selling C-Class model to further distinguish it after introducing the cheaper CLA last year as its new “entry level” car.

The car that has made Mercedes the leading luxury car maker in the United States was the starter Benz for years. But the company has given it a makeover that raises its class and promises a new life in the mid-range of the luxury market.
Mercedes Chairman Dieter Zetsche said the company has taken some of the high-level styling and functions of the pricier E- and S-Class cars and added them to the C-Class, including driver assistance systems — partly autonomous driving — and the Airmatic suspension technology.
The car has also lost 220 pounds (100 kilograms) helped by the use of lightweight materials.
“We believe this star will rock the mid-sized segment” of the market, Zetsche said at the launch, on the occasion of the annual Detroit auto show.
The C-Class has been Mercedes’ most popular model in the U.S. and around the world for several years, and helped lock the company’s lead over its rivals BMW, Audi and Cadillac in the US market.
Zetsche said the CLA has been a “breakthrough car” enjoying “overwhelming demand,” allowing the company to migrate the C-Class up a notch in market segment.

New Car Alert: Mercedes-Benz S-Class Coupe Concept (Video/PICS)

Now this is what I call niceeee! Hopefully this comes out soon and I have the funds to purchase one. I can dream.

Mercedes has officially unveiled the successor to its long-running CL-Class luxury coupe: the S-Class Coupe. An updated take on the 4-door S-Class, the coupe sports an elegant-yet-aggressive look thanks to curving lines, a sloping front end, oversized wheel arches, redesigned 21″ alloy wheels, and new horizontal taillights. Under the hood sits a V8 4,633cc Biturbo engine capable of 455 hp and 516 lb-ft of torque while the interior plays host to aluminum, calf skin, and silk throughout. Finally, Magic Body Control monitors the car’s surrounding up to 500 meters in order to make necessary adjustments to the suspension for the smoothest ride possible; Intelligent Drive’s two stereo cameras provide a 3D view of up to 50 meters in front of the car and support both object and movement detection – all of which is displayed on the dash’s two slim 8:3 aspect ratio 12.3″ screens. Likely very close to what the final version will offer, the production edition of the S-Class Coupe will likely be unveiled early next year at Detroit’s North American International Auto Show.

PICS: Mercedes-Benz Makes Final G-Class Convertible.

The Mercedes-Benz G-Wagen has always been and is still my dream car that I some day want to obtain. The G-Wagen is barley seen and most luxury car users choose the Range Rover over the G-Wagen. Me being me, I never want to be like the majority. With all that said Mercedes is making the final edition on the convertible G-Class Wagen, I'm not really a fan of the convertible type especially with the brown top, if it was black I might consider it. Maybe if I lived in on the beach California, it would be dope too. But that won't ever happen because every single one of these babies have been sold already. Geesh,  this sold out like a pair of Jordans.

New Car Alert: 2014 Mercedes-Benz S63 AMG 4Matic (Niceeee!)

If I had enough money to get this sick ride, I definitely would.

Mercedes-Benz has revealed its latest flagship cruiser, the 2014 S63 AMG 4Matic. The cream-of-the-crop from the latest generation S-Class family, the S63 AMG 4Matic houses a 5.5L twin-turbo V8 engine good for 577 hp and 664 lb-ft of torque. All that power, plus a body weighing 220 pounds less than the outgoing model, means the S63 AMG will hit 0-60 mph in 3.9 seconds before topping out at an electronically-limited 186 mph. High-performance AMG brakes, AMG Adaptive sport suspension and MB’s 4Matic all-wheel-drive system ensures that you stay on the road at all times. The 2014 Mercedes-Benz S63 AMG 4Matic will reach dealers towards the end of the year.
