New Car Alert: Bugatti Legends Veyron 16.4 Grand Sport Vitesse “Rembrandt Bugatti” Edition

Recently unveiled at the 2014 Geneva Auto show, the Bugatti Legends Veyron 16.4 Grand Sport Vitesse “Rembrandt Bugatti” Edition is the fourth model in the six-part “Les Légendes de Bugatti” series. Paying homage to the late French artist Rembrandt Bugatti, this special edition supercar tells the story of  the French artist’s ability to sculpt and yield different metals into magnificent artistic forms, in the same way that Ettore Bugatti did when he founded the brand. The “horizontal split’ design is coated with a bronze-coloured clear-coated carbon. The lower section of the car is coated with the same clear-coated carbon but in a lighter shade of brown (Noix) providing contrast between the heavy upper section and the subtle lower section of the vehicle. Under the hood sits an 8-liter W16 engine with an astonishing 1,200 horsepower offering a top speed of 254 mph. The supercar will be available for approximately $3,000,000 USD and just three will be made.

I wouldn't mind waking up in this. Look how clean the side of the car is, you can see the reflection to clearly. If you have $2.8 million for this luxury vehicle, lucky you. Nice.

"Under the car’s rear wing comes a painting of Sicily’s Targa Florio route – an open-road endurance race held in the mountains near Palermo and a race won twice by Costantini in the Bugatti Type 35, one of the most successful racing cars of all time. The Targa Florio also appears on the interior of the vehicle, joined by a combination of cognac and dark blue leather, light blue stitching and Constantini’s signature, which is embroidered into each of the headrests. The highlight of the interior, however, is undoubtedly the laser-etched racing scenes that adorn the leather throughout. Finally, in usual Vitesse fashion, the vehicle boasts an 8.0-liter quad-turbo W16 engine capable of 1,200 horsepower, acceleration from 0 to 62 mph in just 2.6 seconds, and a top speed of 253 mph. Following its debut at the Dubai International Motor Show, the Constantini offering from the “Legends” series is now available for a cool $2.8 million USD."

New Car Alert: Bugatti Legends Veyron 16.4 Grand Sport Vitesse “Jean Bugatti” Edition

Following the debut of its blue tribute to legendary Le Mans champion Jean-Pierre Wimille, Bugatti has unveiled the second installment of its celebratory six-part “Legends” series: a blacked-out nod to Jean Bugatti, the oldest son of founder Ettore Bugatti. Inspired by Jean’s personal Type 57SC Atlantic – an automobile of his own design and one of the rarest/most expensive/most sought-after in the world – the special edition Veyron 16.4 Grand Sport Vitesse mimics the look of his La Voiture Noire (“The Black Car”) and comes entirely finished in black carbon fiber with a brown-on-beige two-tone cabin and rosewood shifter. Further accentuating the look of the understated-yet-luxurious exterior is a platinum grille, matching EB badges, and diamond-cut five-spoke wheels. Unveiled at this year’s Frankfurt Motor Show, the Jean Bugatti Veyron will be limited to just three production models – each priced at around $3 million USD.
