Amazon has launched Amazon Art, a marketplace that includes more than 40,000 works of art from over 150 galleries and dealers.
Among the first batch of artworks on sale are Andy Warhol’s “Sachiko”, Claude Monet’s “L’Enfant à la tasse”, Norman Rockwell’s “Willie Gillis: Package from Home”, and a selection of Clifford Ross photography from $200 a pop. “We’re thrilled to bring the excitement and emotional connection of art to our customers,” said Amazon Marketplace VP Peter Faricy in a public statement.
