As it stands, many people wouldn’t touch electric cars with a 50 foot pole but companies like BMW can change that with their name and designs like the i8 Spyder Electric Concept.The i8 Spyder has looks and horsepower than can get the nation behind an electric car of its caliber having a 223 hp three-cylinder gas engine with additional power supplied by a 131 hp electric motor generating a 405 lb-ft of total torque.
The BMW i8 Spyder Concept can roam up to 19 miles on electric power alone and takes off at a surprising 0-62 in five seconds. Top speed for the BMW concept is 155 mph and for added appeal, two motor scooters stow away in the rear for even more versatility.
